What is By Your Side?
By Your Side is an AI assistant that answers and places phone calls for you. It picks up when you can't, knows your business, books meetings, takes messages, and warm-transfers callers to you when they need a human, then sends you a summary of every call.
How long does setup take?
Most people are live within about 15 minutes. There are no forms or manuals. You set everything up by chatting with the AI setup assistant in the iOS app. Tell it about your business in plain language and it configures itself.
Do I need any hardware?
No. There's nothing to install beyond the free iOS app. By Your Side works over the phone number you already have.
How calls work
Does it work with my existing phone number?
Yes. You keep your number, and callers reach a real AI assistant instead of voicemail. You can also add a dedicated number if you'd prefer to keep things separate.
What happens when a caller needs a real person?
By Your Side warm-transfers the call to you. You get a short brief before the call connects, so you know exactly who you're speaking with and why before you say hello.
Can it place calls too, not just answer them?
Yes. It both answers inbound calls and places outbound calls on your behalf, for example returning a message or confirming an appointment.
Does it speak more than one language?
Yes. By Your Side understands and speaks multiple languages, so it can meet your callers where they are.
Knowledge & records
How does it know about my business?
You give it your knowledge: pricing, FAQs, hours, team details, documents. It answers as if it had trained alongside you, and only uses what you provide. It won't make things up.
Are calls recorded?
Every call is logged with a recording, a full transcript, and a short summary, so nothing slips through. You're responsible for following the call-recording laws that apply where you and your callers are located. See our Privacy page for more.
Plans & billing
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. There's no free tier after that, and no credit card required to start the trial.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel from your account at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
